Karnataka Congress corporator's daughter stabbed by ex-classmate in college

In a tragic incident at Karnataka Congress corporator daughter was stabbed to death at BV Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering and Technology in Hubballi, Karnataka. Neha Hiremath was stabbed seven times by a former student named Fayaz. The attack occurred on April 18 and resulted in Neha's death. Fayaz, the assailant, was quickly apprehended by the police.

According to reports, Neha was attacked while she was on the college premises. It is suspected that Fayaz, who was acquainted with Neha, assaulted her after she rejected his advances. The police are investigating the matter further.

Despite being rushed to the hospital, Neha could not be saved and was declared dead upon arrival. She was a first-year Master of Computer Applications student at the college. The attack took place around 5 pm while Neha was taking a walk on campus. Fayaz, who was also a student at the same college but had dropped out, later confronted her.

CCTV footage of the heartbreaking crime in Karnataka captured the horrifying moment when Fayaz attacked Neha. She fell to the ground after the initial assault, but the attacker continued to stab her multiple times.

Neha's mother, devastated by the news, recounted speaking to her daughter on the phone just moments before chaos erupted. She expressed disbelief and refused to accept that her daughter was gone, stating that she couldn't bear to see Neha in that condition.

Renuka Sukumar - Hubballi Dharwad Police Commissioner, assured that the police acted swiftly to arrest the accused. She mentioned that Neha and Fayaz were familiar with each other as they had studied together.

The tragic incident has left the community in shock and raised concerns about safety on college campuses. Investigations are ongoing to uncover more details about the motive behind the attack and to ensure justice for Neha and her family.
